If not Your WiFi is working
Step 1
The configuration of the
wireless card for your computer will vary depending on which version of Windows
you are using,
(Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP, Vista) as well as the manufacturer of your
wireless card.
In most cases your
computer will automatically detect the "Hotspot" and Connect to it.
All you will
need to do is open your Web Browser (IE, Netscape, Opera)
and you will be
directed to the Welcome Page and asked for your Ticket Number.
Enter your Ticket
Number and you will be Connected to the Internet.
If you do not get the
Welcome Screen try a Clean Re-Boot your computer (Click Start, Then Shutdown).
(Do Not Click Restart)
Turn your computer back on.
Make Sure Your Wireless Adapter
is Either Plugged In and Active, or Turned On if your adapter is internal (built
in).
Many new notebook pc's have an external button that turns on and off the
adapter... it's very easy to turn off by mistake.
If after rebooting and
opening your Web Browser you still don't get the Welcome Screen...Follow the
steps below.

Make Changes At Your Own Risk
If you know how to configure wireless settings...make sure the following are set.
WEP encryption: OFF or NONE
SSID: Select hotspot
Step 3
If you are unsure where to make changes to
your wireless configuration look for your wireless icon...
It will be located in the bottom right of your screen... in the tray next to the
clock.
Click on the Icon to Open it.
Step 4
(Remember your configuration screen may look different depending on the manufacturer of your wireless card and the version of windows you are using)
Make sure "hotspot" is seen in both the Available Networks box and the Preferred Networks box.
"hotspot" should have a blue circle next to it to indicate it is active.
If there is a red slash (/) or X next to it then the wireless card cannot see the hotspot at this time.
If there is more than one network
indicated in the preferred networks box, highlight the hotspot by clicking on it
in the Preferred Networks box and use the Move Up button to move "hotspot" to the top of the list.
(This will cause Windows to try to associate with this network first.)
In the Available Networks box highlight "hotspot" by clicking it and then click on Configure.
Step 5
Make sure that Network Authentication is set to Open and Data Encryption is set to Disabled.
If necessary, change either of those settings by clicking on the downward pointing arrow at the right hand side of the box,
and from the drop down options select the appropriate option.
Click OK to close this box and then click OK to close the box before it.
It may take a moment while the system makes the appropriate changes.
Open your web browser, and if you still do not see the Welcome Screen try Re-Booting the computer.
If you are unsuccessful using the above steps to set the wireless device in your computer to access the "hotspot" then you need to contact technical support service for your wireless adapter or computer manufacturer.
Here are some Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Why does the signal strength indicator show Very Low, or Low?
A. The signal strength indicator
is really only a reference. You may still have a high data transfer rate
(18-24-36-54mbs) even with a low signal strength indication.

Q. What will cause interference with my wireless connection?
A. There are several things that will cause interference with your wireless connection...
1) 2.4ghz Cordless Phones or any electronic device that operates in that frequency range
2) High Energy Lights or Electronics
3) Metal Objects such as walls, roofs, filing cabinets.
4) Large objects that may block the entire signal such as buildings, or terrain that is uneven. Trees may also have an effect.
5) Older Campers are made of a
different material than today's new ones.
Newer campers will allow the signal to pass through the exterior walls better
than older ones.
Older Airstream Campers have the worst signal reception.
Q. What can I do to help fix the problem?
A. If possible try repositioning your wireless adapter (USB Connected Adapters, PCI adapters with external antenna cable Only) away from the cause of the interference. You may even try placing your computer in a different location.
Many manufacturers sell High Gain Antennas as a replacement. If your adapter has an external antenna connection check with the manufacturer to see if this option is available. Make sure nothing is blocking your signal (including yourself), keep in mind WiFi signal works the same way as a radio, and will have the same interference problems.
