Blue Spring State Park
This is manatee haven!
Here in the subtropical swamp forests and marshes along the St. Johns River, the
lovable, endangered sea cows take
refuge when the river gets cold in winter.
Visitors can rent canoes, take a tour boat or walk the four-mile nature trail.
In spring, snorkeling and cave-diving are permitted.
State parks are open 8 a.m. until sundown 365 days a year.

Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge
A great area for canoe exploration, as well as hiking and
biking along nature trails through pine and hardwood forests.
The little-known freshwater marsh and swampland is just upstream on the St.
Johns River at De Leon Springs.

DeLeon Springs State Recreation Area
The unique and historic mix with nature at this spring
that flows to the St. Johns River.
The Old Spanish Sugar Mill and Griddle House, still powered by the spring,
provides the grain for famous grill your own pancakes.
Visitors can also settle into the spring water that an 1889 advertisement
claimed was a "fountain of youth."
Swimming, picnicking, hiking and canoe and paddleboat rentals are
available.
State parks are open 8 a.m. until sundown 365 days a year.
