Lubber Grasshopper
These giant grasshoppers are called "lubbers" because they walk so slowly.
Lubbers eat leaves, grasses and sometimes dead insects.
This grasshopper's bold black and yellow colors warn birds not to eat them because they taste bad and could make the birds sick.
Baby lubbers are called "nymphs" and look just like tiny adults.
